Island Fire Glass began in 2003 when Matthew Fenske first began offering his blown glass creations to tourists and islanders in St. Croix. In July 2005 we opened a gallery on the beautiful and newly recreated waterfront of Frederiksted.
Matt now does all of his glasswork in a private studio on the south shore of St. Croix. We closed the Frederiksted gallery in March 2007 and hope that someday we will reopen a gallery there again. We miss the West End and all of our friends at places like Pier 69 and the Blue Moon restaurant, which both feature some of the Caribbean's finest jazz musicians. We encourage all visitors to St. Croix to be sure and visit Frederiksted during their stay, and be sure to attend the monthly Jazz concerts in the park.
Christiansted features many art galleries and shops, most within a convenient walking distance from the boardwalk. We now distribute our glasswork through local shops in Christiansted and Frederiksted and encourage you to visit them during your stay in St. Croix. We also have a few of our best selling items on our website shopping area.
